As a local historian, I was deep in the dusty town archives, researching the devastating 1978 Ohio River Valley flood. My fingers brushed a black-and-white photo, and my breath caught. Staring back from the 1978 scene was a woman with my distinct face, my mole, and my crooked front tooth, seven years before I was born.
